Avalon, Washington

Dakan and Jake sat in his truck speeding down the interstate. Jake had been quiet the whole ride from New Mexico, Dakan had tried to get him to talk but it was no use. Before leaving though Dakan had convinced Mitch and Nathan to come to Washington with him to look for a legend he had heard from his master. The legend of the forever city, Avalon.

Mitch and Nathan had given his sister the best burial that they could. They buried her in the forest where she wouldn't be disturbed said there final good buys to her and then set the son of a bitch that had turned her on fire. Then Dakan had asked them to go investigate Avalon. Stories about it had floated around the hunting comunity for years with different theories about where the town was and how it had come to only appear for one week a year. You think that Avalon exists Nathan? Mitch asked wondering if Nathan beleived in it or not.

Nathan glanced at Mitch. No i don't. Only becasue the idea that a demon has enough power to make an entire town basically immortal kinda freaks me out. Nathan said. they had been following dakan and jake since this was Dakan's case and all. What about you. Do you believe in it?

Mitch looked forward and said. Well the way i see it. with all of those stories out there. There has to be some truth to them. Otherwise where would the stories have come from. He looked at Nathan who just nodded.

Dakan, spotted a gas station up ahead and pulled of the road to refill. As he got out he noticed that Jake sat motionless inside the car. Dakan shrugged it off and went to talk to Nathan and Mitch about Avalon and Jake. As Dakan approached the car Nathan got and and smile. Is this your mythical Avalon? A gas station. Dakan chuckled, No Nathan, Avalon won't appear until sometime tonight. I wanted to stop to refill and to talk to you guys about the plan and about Jake.

Jake sat quietly on the passenger seat of Dakan's truck. After finally resuming their human form, Jake and the Beast decided to be commonly referred to as just Jake. They couldn't bear looking at their fellow hunters, for they feared that they would be received by stares of horror and suspicion. So that is why Jake decided to stay in the truck while Dakan and the others were refueling. Inside his head, the Beast had told Jake that they had the power to change at will now. Pulling out their revolver and ignoring the scared stare of the child looking in from the car next to them, Jake wondered if he would ever need this weapon again. A few seconds past, and finally, Jake put the gun back in its rightful place on the holster in the back of his pants. After that, Jake lowered down the window a bit to hear what Dakan was telling Mitch and Nathan.

Nathan looked at him. The plan is to go get a newspaper while mitch fills me up so that when avolon dosen't appear tonight i can find us a real job. Nathan said smiling. Just kidding personally i hope it appears. Mabye we'll even save a damsle in distress while we're at it. Nathan looked toward the truck. How's jake doing?

Dakan also looked toward the truck. 'm worried about him. He hasn't said one word for the whole trip. Dakan looked at Mitch and Nathan. Both Nathan and Mitch were frowning. I know what you guys are thinking, but Jake saved me from Johnny. I think he has mastered the beast inside and he should be safe for now.

Jake grinned to themselves. Thank whatever God is ruling that at least Dakan still believed in them. Opening the truck door, Jake joined up with the other, who looked at him with surprise. “ We would like to know what this Avalon place is. ” Jake said to the other hunters.

Nathan looked at mitch and nodded toward the gas pump. Mitch turned around and started to pump gas into Nathans car. Nathan then looked at Jake. Hey jake why don't you and i go get some supplies for the road. Nathan said. He wanted to get some alone time with jake so that he could tell him that he was fine with jake being a werewolf. After all it wasn't like Nathan was the poster boy for normal as it was.

Jake nodded and followed Nathan into the convenience store. Once they were inside and looking for snacks and drinks, Jake turned to Nathan and said "So what is it that you want to tell us?". Nathan, apparently surprised that they had figured out why he wanted to do, cleared his throat and started explaining what he felt about the whole 'werewolf' thing.

Nathan looked at Jake and said. Look this whole werewolf thing. I'm cool with it. I mean it's not like i'm the porster boy for normal....So we're cool. Besides you did save my life with Anna. He said patting jake on the shoulder.

Jake looked at Nathan. After a moment they said "Did you know that now We can see farther and more precise? And also Our sense of smell has increased, too; to the point that... well, lets just say that the store clerk is long overdue for a shower." with a smile.

Nathan patted jakes sholder. They paid for the merch and left and nathan looked at him and said. Oh by the way reffering to yourself as we...kinda freaky. Nathan said with a simle.

"Sorry. We can't help it. There are two of us in this one body. We don't know if other lycans have dual personalities, too. But we can control when we turn." said Jake to Nathan as they joined up with Dakan and Mitch.

Dakan and Mitch were wating outside when Nathan and Jake strolled out of the gas station. Are u guys done having a heart to heart? We need to get there when the town appears. Dakan got into his truck and Jake joined him. Dakan pulled out of the station with Nathan and Mitch following behind. A few hours later He gets a call from Nathan on his phone telling Him to pull over. Wehn he gets out his sees that nathan is not pleased.

Nathan tried to keep the content out of his voice as he talked to Dakan. Pull over. When the pulled over Dakan go out of his car and nathan out of his. So where the fuck is this mythical city of yours. we have been driving for the last day and a half and haven't seen anything saying this place enven exisits. I think we should turn tail and start heading for seatle it looks like might have a vampire problem there anyway. We just need to go and pretend that we never went on this stupid little adventure.

Dakan stood and listened to Nathans rant. As the rant went on, Dakan started to notices something starting to appear behind Nathan, Dakan just smiled and let nathan finish.

Jake sat in Dakan's truck watching Nathan yelling at Dakan (Canine sense of hearing). Then they saw something emerging behind Nathan. With their mouth touching the floor, Jake got out of the truck and stare in awe.

Nathan finished his rant and looked at Mitch Dakan and Jake who were standing there Jake and Mitch with there mouths open and Dakan with a smile on his face. The towns right behind me isn't it?

Dakan nodded, Yes. yes it is Nathan. Nathan turned around and stared at the town. This wasnt there the whole time, was it? Dakan shook his head. No, no it wasn't.

Mitch hopped back into nathans car and they drove into town. They pulled into a motel and got a room. The only one they had left was a room with four beds in it. They put there shit in there and Mitch asked. So here's a question for you. The legend goes that this town has been dissapearing for two hundered years and only reapearing for one week every year. So my question is if that's true the town would have been in the 1800's. So how the fuck did we pass up a car dealership with a 2009 mustang in it?

Dakan shrugged, Could be a number of possibilities. It could be an illusion to lure us into a false sence for sercurity, although that is a stretch since manager asked me for a credit card to pay. So that leaves only two possibilities, either the town itself is around for ever and the people age and die like normal and the town evolves, or the people and the town evolve around the timeline but stay alive and continue to learn about the new time when they transfer. Dakan finishes explaining and smiles at the group. The only way to know for sure is to go out and ask around. Dakan puts on a coat and heads out of the room.

Jake sat down on their bed and solemnly said "We will stay here. There is something that We must attend to." Mitch and Nathan nodded and then followed Dakan out. Jake waited on his bed for a few seconds, and then reached in his pocket. Pulling out five bullet rounds and a vial of some liquid, Jake commenced on working on their new weapon.

Nathan closed the door as he and Mitch left the room. Nathan then told mitch that he was gonna go look around town and that he'd be back at the room in a few hours. Nathan opted to walk since the town really wasn't to big. He walked over to what looked like an arcade. Where he saw kids playing dance dance revolution. Hmm even this town has a shitty choice in video games. He thought and then walked away toward a convient store to stock up for when they left again.
